A new Seaspray figure!?!

Just logged into TFW and saw a pic of the new Seaspray figure in package!

Seaspray was one of my first Transformers as a kid,I have a special place in my hear for the lil guy, except now,he ain't so lil anymore.

He is a part of the continuation for the movie line just labeled "Transformers" but Hasbro has designed him to fit in with the Universe/Classics aesthetic. In vehicle mode,he can hold Scout figures and transport them.

This is the first time since 1993 that Seaspray has gotten a new figure,so way to go Hasbro!

IDW Bumblebee Issue 1 and 2 thoughts.

So I finally got my hands on Issues 1 and 2 of the Bumblebee mini series from IDW.

First off,if you are a diehard G1 fan then you need to go out and pick this up right now,the characters are the G1 1984 Sunbrow models, and the art is very reminiscent of the old 1984 Marvel G1 comics.

So,this is suppose to be taking place during the IDW Transformers ongoing series, but the art is totally different from the ongoing,Bumblebee is the traditional look for the characters, where as the Ongoing is a mix of Movie and G1 stylings, here is a comparison of Bumblebee from both:

Bumblebee Mini Series Above,Transformers Ongoing Below.

As you can see,the art style for the same story is totally different,at first I wasn't really digging the new style for the ongoing, but the more I read it the more I like it,so I can honestly say that I really like the styles for both the BB mini and the TF ongoing.

Overall, the story for the BB mini is great,I can' wait till issue 3.

GameInformer War for Cybertron Podcast Thoughts

So I will just start this off by saying,I am a HUGE Transformers fan,I was very excited when I found out about a new game coming out that wasn't based on the movies.

I have been following the War for Cybertron hub here on the GI site,I have even been posting updates to a site that I visit.

So now onto my thoughts about the podcast.

-Omega Supreme Boss Fight

* This is going to be amazing, the fact that he can destroy pretty much everything in the room is gonna make for a very interested boss fight. When I first read about Omega being a boss,I immediately thought of the Tidal Wave boss fight from the 2003 PS2 Transformers game.

-Vertical Levels

* So,we're gonna have some vertical levels where enemies can snipe down at you,but here is the great thing about this,if you are a jet,you can just transform and traverse the levels. This is gonna be a great level I think.

-Online Co-Op and Competetive Multiplayer

* AWESOME!GI said that at all times they saw teams of 3 Transformers,I hope this transfers over onto the online aspect of it,I would love to be able to storm Kaon with 2 other Autobot online buddies.

-Soundtrack

* GI played a sample track from the game, and it had a very epic tone to it,I could get use to storming a Decepticon base while that is playing.

And last but not least:

-Voice Actors

* So GI said that High Moon/Activision/Hasbro will be making an announcement about the VAs,it's already common knowledge that Peter Cullen will be voicing Optimus Prime, but GI kind of let it slip that the majority of the VAs from the 1984 G1 series will be returning, does this mean that we will have Frank Welker as Megatron,Peter Cullen as bother Optimus and Ironhide,Micheal Bell as Prowl(He has already stated that he is signed on for a new TF project, could this be it?),Greg Berger for Grimlock? In the words of Macho Man Randy Savage,"My curiosity is killing me,like a cat would be killed by the curiosity!"

So there you guys go,these are my thoughts on the podcast, mainly on the things that stood out most to me.

War for Cybertron concept art. Part 1.

So I figured I would go ahead and post up the concept art for War for Cybertron, well at least the art that I have,so here is Part 1,containing just Optimus,Megatron, and Starscream.

The other parts will follow later this week. Thanks for looking guys.

WFC Full Reveal Thoughts!

Since I just wanted the Full Reveal trailer to be in it's own post,I am now posting my thoughts.

So I am very stoked for Peter Cullen returning as Optimus Prime, but I'm not that thrilled about Megatron's voice,it sounds like the voice actor wanted to do a Movie Megatron but stopped halfway through.

I'm really digging the new designs for all of the Transformers,Optimus is obviously my favorite however.

Also, how fucking awesome was Trypticon's entrance?Omega just rises up and starts blasting Decepticons, but Trypticon comes plummeting to Cybertron, rises from a smoldering crater, and starts obliterating Autobots and Decepticons alike, now that is a fucking entrance!

The trailer shows some major characters in the background, like Ironhide,Ratchet,Soundwave,Skywarp, and Thundercracker. The trailer mainly focuses around Optimus,Bumblebee,Megatron, and Starscream.

The trailer also shows a building with an Autobot logo that is very similar to The Wreckers logo, this got me very excited,I am hoping that Roadbuster is in the game alonside Springer,Kup,and Ultra Magnus.

Time will only tell, till that day....till all are one!

War for Cybertron Full Reveal Trailer!

War for Cybertron figure pics!

So between UGO and TFCC,we now have pics of Optimus,Megatron, and Bumblebee. We are now awaiting pics of Soundwave so we can complete the set of WFC figures for the Generations line.

These 4 figures are being put under the new Generations line, which is essentially the new name for the Universe line. All figures that do not fit with the main line and movie line will be put under the Generations line.

My thoughts:
Optimus and Bumblebee are the two jewels thus far, they are truly awesome looking figures,I am a bit disappointed that Optimus doesn't have his axe that he has been seen in the trailers with.

Megatron's robot mode is majorly mistransformed,so I can't really judge how I like him just yet,he too is missing his morning star from the trailer and in robot mode they didn't attach his Fusion Cannon to his forearm.

FansProject's Bruticus Add-On Kit!

The kit is looking amazing! The pics I uploaded does it no justice as I had to resize them to fit in my blog, but rest assured the kit is amazing.

I'm loving the new Swindle and Blast-Off figures, but I'm worried that this might put FP on Hasbro's radar with the Springer figure that is coming out by them. The Commander and Arielbot kits were something that you needed Hasbro products for,but Spinger,Swindle, and Blast-Off you don't really need a Hasbro product in order to buy.

Those thoughts aside,I still plan on buying this kit for my Bruticus set.
